2007

6th August - well the site is now live!! I'll be adding a load more pages over the coming weeks. So come and check back and see if the sitemap has changed.

8th August - I suppose it was obvious but I'd omitted to put in an about us page. Have a read, then check out a few of the random pictures we've put together.

10th August - the new about the area page gives you some info on where we are and why we love this area so much. Taking a mountain bike holiday here in the tirol will get some fresh air in your lungs and put a smile on your face.

12th August - managed to get out and about around the farm today instead of out on the bike, as I felt the website needed a few more photos of the farm and the rooms. Hope you enjoy them, I enjoyed taking them all apart from the one with the bull which took too keen an interest in me and my camera!

14th August - we are pleased to offer mountain bike holiday insurance through SportsCover Direct. They offer insurance specifically designed for the mountain biker. Our prices and booking form pages have also been updated to provide more information for customers.

16th August - food glorious food. What's a holiday without good food, take a few moments to read our food page.

3rd September - we're married! hectic times are over for a bit. Luckily for me, I was still able to get out on the trails and show a few of the relatives our mountain hut and local routes. Also, I've set up a previous news page so that the home page doesn't become too cluttered with old news. If you're interested any diary entries can be found on this news page.

7th September - a day off the bike today, so I'm taking the opportunity to scatter the site with a few new photos. All of them lead to the photo gallery as this is the quickest and easiest way for people to view the wonderful trails and scenery that are here in the Austrian alps.

8th September - I've moved things around a little, there is now a frequently asked questions page linked to from the menu. This contains all those mountain biking holiday questions that are important to people but might not fit on individual pages. If we have missed anything out or you have further holiday questions just contact us and we'll sort things out for you. With this little re-jig on the menu, the sitemap can now be found at the bottom of each page.

10th September - added more questions on the frequently asked questions page mainly about hiring bikes, bike repairs and quality of bike needed for a holiday with Up and Downhill. Also, added a few more links on the sidebar so that people can see the typical week, food and the about the area pages more easily.

16th September - we've had a fantastic few days mountain biking, the trails are quiet, the sky is clear and the weather is perfect for mountain biking, not too hot, not to cold. Tours at the moment are normally a gentle cycle from the farm to the foot of our chosen mountain, followed by a climb to a mountain hut. Then depending on how we're all feeling, either fast forest trails to the bottom again or steep technical rooty singletrack fun. My current favourite is a technical downhill from Söll, about five minutes from the mountain lifts.

26th September - it's been quiet on the mountain biking front for the last week, but we have had good reason for this..... Manu and I got married! We had a fantastic day and it was great that so many of our UK friends were able to come out and share the weekend with us. Then we spent a relaxing weeks honeymoon in Italy, however, now I'm looking forward to getting back on the trails again.

8th October - the weather has be fantastic the last couple of weeks. The mountain alms (mountain restaurants) have been quieter as we are nearing the end of the season. The lifts close on the 21st October this year. We've been out on our bikes, checking out new trails for our guests that come out next year on our mountain bike holidays. Autumn provides some interesting challenges on the bike, fallen leaves cover some hidden tree roots. Taking a direct steady approach should help avoid the spills!

17th October - just seen the forecast and it looks like this warm spell is coming to an end. In fact some report snow as low as 1000m. When we haven't been out on the bike, we've put up a couple of news feeds, one links to the singletrack website whilst the other pulls its details off Digg. There is great information on the Singletrack links whilst the other links are more hit and miss! Anything from bamboo mountain bikes to new world records being set.

22nd October - after checking out the website, have a look at the contact us page and spare a couple of seconds to answer our poll. If this becomes popular then we will run further polls across the website. Maybe about mountain bike holidays, mountain bike news, or just about Austria.

29th October - we managed to get away for a few days and took a break to visit some friends in Switzerland. Now that we're back we need to update the platform we are currently running on and move to another server. Fingers crossed this will be a smooth process and the site will only be down for a short time and we'll be able to get back on the bikes again soon instead of hiding in the office!

1st November - the mountain lifts and the funicular have now closed, so if you fancy a late mountain bike holiday you'll be pedalling up our mountains now. However, I think the snow will be coming quite soon. Take a look at our guide for safe mountain biking. There are some tips and suggestions for keeping you up and riding with minimal problems to yourself and others.

7th November - so you don't have flash?, no worries you can now see all our mountain bike holiday photos that are available in the gallery. Have a browse, more mountain biking images going up all the time.

8th November - just a couple of minor changes to the holiday price list and the typical week page. Again, if there is anything that you'd like to see on the website just let us know.

9th November - the mountain bikes have been packed up now. Already looking forward to the 2008 holiday season. Over the winter months we'll be out on the slopes enjoying more Up and Downhill fun. With over 250km of trails and another 275km of cross country trails there is plenty to keep our guests busy. We will be putting up some more photos for the gallery and updating the site to show you why our mountain bike holidays are just what you are looking for.

29th November - booking your mountain bike holiday or just enquiring with our new mtb holiday form should be really simple.

31st December - Keith, Manu and the Stoeckl family would like to wish everyone a very Happy New Year. Hopefully everyones heads won't be too sore in the morning. We're looking forward to a busy year next year and have plenty of exciting biking and holiday plans that we'll share with you in 2008. Check out some of our winter photos, its not mountain biking but its still great fun. Prost!!
