Kitzbuehel freeride trail is hard and minimally maintained, a real challenge.

We check all the trails a few days before we ride them but you never know what obstacles you might find.

In our continual pursuit of showing a trails steepness, Ian is right over the back of the saddle to keep his balance.

A local women at the farmers market in Ellmau in traditional dress. Enjoying a beer.

Every week the local villages each host a village festival. With plenty of beer, food and dancing on offer.

A easy rock section for Ian to get through.

Paragliders enjoying the updrafts with the Kaisergebirge in the background.

Even though Ian was usually padded up on elbows and knees. Without him wearing a top it always made me nervous. Not that a thin top would make any difference.

The starting point of the impressive Hahnenkamm world cup ski race in Kitzbuehel. On bike it is a good half hour to the valley. The skiers make it down in a few minutes.

There are only a couple of jumps made on the free ride trail, everything else is just natural steep, gnarly rocks and roots.

I'd guess this is a German tourist dressed in lederhosen taking photos of the paragliders in Kitzbuehel.

Ian picking his line through the treees on this steep descent.

Straight on is not advised. There is a 30m cliff about 10m further on.

Light shining through the trees deep in the woods on a epic day mountain biking.

It isn't all accordions and bassbands. This women was a really good covers artist. A bit of Oasis, Police and other classics.

A musican playing in a band. Compulsory accordion player on the left hand side

Over the rocks. Best to avoid the green moss, very slippery.
