- what berry? -

red berriesThere is always something to do around the farm, if we’re not tinkering with the bikes. Today was exactly like this. We had a ride planned for later in the day so Manu and I spent a few hours picking berries. I have to admit I enjoy picking the redberries, the sun is on your back maybe have the mp3 player on and just relaxing. There is a little running debate on which type of berries we are picking, possibly red currents, redberries or cranberries. It doesn’t really matter though, once picked and then seperated from the stalks, they are given to Manu to make the jam with. This jam can be a little sour with only these berries, however, as luck would have it, Manu’s uncle (our next door neighbour) was out picking cherries so we mixed it up a bit. So when you have breakfast in the morning expect to find a pot of homemade jam waiting for your freshly baked bread rolls. If you enjoy the jam I’m sure Manu would share her recipe with you. Just drop us a comment below and I’ll get Manu to put up a post with details.
