smooth singletrack

This is how we like our singletrack to be, smooth, tight with great views. Varied terrain makes for a fantastic trail adventure. Start off with some fast fire roads, take on steep rooty forest paths, then enjoy sweepy meadow singletrack. Great fun, and to be blunt as long as we are on our bikes and away from the traffic we are happy.

Compared with the lull in mountain biking news last week there was some interesting stuff going on this week.

  • If you are into the latest designs and seeing the kit that you wished you could afford. Then Euroike 2008 in Germany was the place to go to. Conversely let the pros go and read their reviews, we particularly enjoyed Singletracks Eurobike 2008 review.
  • Best news of the week. Freecaster.tv has signed a three year exclusive deal with UCI. What’s it mean? Free live mountain biking streamed straight to a computer screen near you.
  • Here is a nice simple breakdown of different types of mountain bikes (pictures included!!).
  • The World Cup finale was held in Schladming, Austria over the weekend and we were there. So to nicely tie things together if you haven’t had a chance to watch, here is a preview. Then pop over to freecaster to watch some action packed mountain biking.
