We are on a roll now with our guiding for one. Another week and another guest. This time from the opposite end of the United Kingdom. Essex visits Austria. On the first day, with very heavy legs we made it to our mountain hut of choice. I think the thought of the home brewed beer helped the tired legs up the mountain.

New for this week we’d finally sorted out wireless in the apartment, therefore using the laptop Lee was able to catch up on emails and check out the footy results. Unfortunately Spurs hadn’t performed too well.

We had a good week of mountain biking. Lee was up for trying pretty much anything that I let him loose on. However, he was also sensible enough to know if a section was beyond his limit. Wood tunnelThe only section that really phased him was the freeride trail in Kitzbuehel. A mixture of loose rock, steep drops and a wickedly steep rooty section on a ridge that is enough to test most peoples nerves. We’ve seen pro downhillers slipping out on this section.

Early autumnAgain the question is posed what is it we ride? Freeride, all mountain, technical cross country. Probably a mix between all three and that is what makes it fun. Mixing things up, sometimes steep, sometimes technical, enough to keep guests on their toes!

Check out a few photos of our Spurs fan and his exploits on holiday, including some pictures of the Freeride trail in Kitzbuehel.
